I do not think this is a good idea. First, tablets are expensive for families. Not every family can afford to buy a new device, and if a tablet breaks or is lost, parents have to pay for it again. Paper textbooks are much cheaper and easier to replace.
Second, using tablets for many hours can be bad for students’ health. Children who look at screens all day often have tired eyes and trouble sleeping at night. For these reasons, I do not think schools should ask students to use tablets instead of paper textbooks.
